Dr. Md. Mijanur Rahman has a vast experience in both Academia and Industry in
Computer Science and Information Technology field. His academic experience
includes positions at Manarat International University as Dean of the School of
Engineering, Science & Technology and Head of the Department of Computer
Science & Engineering, both from November 2024 to present. Previously,
at Uttara University, roles included Dean of the School of Science &
Engineering (April 2023 - November 2024), Chairman of the Department of CSE
(January 2018 - May 2022), and Professor (January 2018 - May 2022, February
2023 - November 2024). Other roles included Associate Professor and
Director of the Center for Research & Training. Previous positions
were held at the University of Information Technology & Sciences,
Universiti Malaysia Perlis, and International Islamic University Chittagong.
His professional experience at Embedded Wireless Labs, Malaysia included Lead Research Engineer and Senior Research Engineer. He has an outstanding educational career and qualifications which include a Ph. D. from Multimedia University (2010) in Photonics based Quantum Communication, M. Sc. from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (1999) in Remote Sensing, and a B. Sc. from BUET (1995) in Computer Science and Engineering.
